HSE POLICY

It is the policy and commitment of Cranes “R” US Nigeria Limited to carry out all its work in a way that provides healthy and safe working practices and avoids risks of injury to anyone as a result of the activities for which the company is responsible.

The overall responsibility for Health, Safety & Environment rests at the Top Management, however, all individual employees have important responsibility towards HSE and must participate in carrying out the policy. Appropriate training, supervision and information are provided to encourage and enable employees to carry out their duties safely.

Regular inspection and monitoring of the activities is undertaken and accidents or incidents are investigated promptly so that appropriate action is taken to prevent reoccurrence. Unsafe work practices by an individual can often lead to accidents even in safe working environment.

Therefore Cranes “R” US Nigeria Limited is committed to;

• Complying with all regulations governing Health, Safety & Environment at the job site.
• Taking expedient actions to correct or isolate unsafe conditions or work practices.
• Promoting Health, Safety & Environment awareness and ensuring it is integral part of our day –to-day activates

• Providing facilities for participation and consultation between management and employee representatives on HSE Matters.
• Conducting risk and/or impact assessments for the occupational health and safety hazards, environmental aspects of its business and develop procedures to address the system and reduce impacts on the environment

• Holding each employee accountable for their individual responsibility for Health, Safety & Environment
• Making reasonable effort to assure that employees can accomplish the safe completion of assigned tasks.
• Ensuring that no task is so important, nor so urgently, that we cannot take the time to do it safely.

• Zero accident occurrence at worksites
• Prompt near-miss and incident notification, investigation and reporting.
• Optimize the use of continuous improvement practices as the basis for “Zero accident tolerance” initiative.
